| Well i guess it's time to update. .sorry it is so late.
Yeah so where i left off. . . Throughout the week we had a Back Yard Bible Club, which went really well. I missed one day of the BBC because I was sick. So after 3 1/2 hours of sitting in the emergency medical clinic I was able to see the doctor. She thought it was strep throat, however she wasnt sure, so she did a throat culture. It turned out that she wouldnt know the results for 48 hours. So I never found out what I had, because that was tuesday, and we left thursday. On Wednesday, the final day of our Backyard Bible Club, it was really rainy and cool just a real nasty day. Everyones spirits were down. .and like why are we even setting up for BBC no one is going to come. So we went ahead and set up our stuff anyways. At the start of the BBC only a few kids were there, but about 20 minutes in to it a group of about 10 kids showed up, all dressed in rain suits, and carrying umbrellas. The next morning we got up and traveled 2 hours to Niagra falls for our free day. We had a really nice time there, the weather was awesome! The trip was a really good learning experience and i cant wait to see where I will go next year.
Well I have been surfing alot and loving it. Alex and I took a day off of school last week to spend the morning at the beach. The waves wernt too good, but we were the only people there, and we have a good time! While we were surfing this guy was on the beach filming us. . me and alex were like what the crap. We thought it might have been Ocean Surf Shop doing their daily surf report. When we got home we found that we were correct. In the picture here. . .Alex (top left) and I (center) surfing some awesome waves.
| I know it has been a week or so. . .sorry I just got home from New York today.
I left last friday morning for our missions trip to new york, we stayed the night in Harrisburg, Pa, and finished to trip to Newark, Ny, the next day. We arrived about 3 that afternoon, i have to say that i saw some of the prettiest countryside that ive ever seen, we passed several vineyards, mountains, and one nice lake. This years trip is a little different than the ones from the past. We still stayed at Newark Baptist, however all of our mission work was in the city of Auburn, which is about an hour away. Sunday morning we left early to head to church. The church we were helping was Eternal Life Baptist, Bryan Bently is the pastor. About nine months ago the Bently family packed up from there south Georgia home for Auburn. After a few days training in New York City, by NAMB, they were off to Auburn. Now every sunday they have services out of their own living room, after service on sunday the feed all of the members lunch. Even though this might not seem like alot, they live on a minimal budget. They have two daughters, and Bryan works nights at Dominos Pizza delivering pizza. He has a heart for the Lord, and has begun an awesome work in Auburn. His church is up to about 10 or so, and they have started looking for somewhere else to have church services. On sunday after Church, we had lunch with Bryan, his family, and church members. Sunday after noon we went to Casey park, our ministry site for the week, to have a Block Party. The staff at the park were really cooperatiave and allowed us to advertise at the pool, and skate park. We cooked hot dogs, had cotton candy, and pop corn; For the kids we had a jump castle. We just used this day to start relationships, and to advertise for the Backyard Bible Club of the week.. . tired good night. . finish it tomorrow

well it is 3 on thursday and i need to be packing. instead im writing my last blog before i go out of town. Ive got alot done, ive just gotta throw it all in a suit case.
This morning i took on my new adventure, and i really suprised myself. Avery, Ryan, Will, and i went to station 42, on IOP to go surfing. As it was my first time surfing i thought it was going to be really hard, i almost got up on the first wave, but my hands slipped off the board. After that it got easier and easier. I wasnt all that hard, but by the end of the day it wasnt that hard, but i took a couple of hard spills! I think here pretty soon i will be lookin to purchase a surfboard. AS YOU CAN PROBABLY TELL BY THE PICTURES ABOVE I WAS TEARIN IT UP!
Well its time to go finish packing. Please pray for Amy, Mendy, and me, as we are all out of the area doing different missions, and preformances. Please pray for saftey while traveling, and good health! Thanks Guys!
| wow this heat is almost too stinkin much. the heat index today was 107, so needless to say i smelled ripe by the time i got home from work. One good thing happend today at work, my company is auctioning of several laptops, and desktops which are no longer used by the company. I placed bids on 3 laptops, so hopefully ill be able to get one!
Only two more days of work, then its time to start packing for New York. But one more adventure before then, thursday morning i am going to try out a new sport for the first time. My buddy avery, ryan and i are going to go to the wash out on folly beach to go surfing. This will be the first time ive ever tried the sport, and i am stoked! We looked at the wave report today, and the waves have been pretty sweet in the morning. We are going to try to get down their early and catch the best surf.
For yall who dont know, i am leaving friday the 22 for a missions trip to Newark, Ny. While in new york, we will be traveling everyday to Auburn, Ny(our mission site). While in Auburn we will be helping a new church out. We will do some prayer walking, street evangelism, backyard Bible clubs, and have one big block party! I am looking forward to what God has planned for the week, He never fails to do somthing awesome to people there, and in all of the Missions Volunteers lives. If i could ask one favor, this week please be in prayer for Amy, myself, and our groups as we travel and minister! Thanks yall!
| last night was fun, avery and i went to ye old for supper, then by the church to go to the bathroom (emergency). After that was complete we went to wal-mart, we tried on some t-ball helmets, tested them to make sure they worked, and then i bought a Pictus Catfish. It was only 5 dollars, however the laughs which the fish brought was worth it!!!! After that avery and i went to ryan fergusons house, and got his xbox, and took his putter. then xbox tourney, im the worst at playin halo 2. We went to amandas house to play. as we were leaving we caught some kids, KATIE who lives accrossed the street, toilet papering our vehicles. so we took alll of the toilet paper and put it in their front yard then we left. later last ngiht amanda saw that all of the toilet paper was in her front yard. she she gathered it all up, and threw it in their pool!! how great its that! she said it looked like a huge toilet. but needless to say, amanda was cleaning a pool at 230 this morning!! lol well its time to get some stuff around here ready for the get together! | | |
